And Big Brown goes down

I have never been a fan of favorites.

I have never been a fan of loudmouth trash talkers especially those who are the favorite.

So I loved watching Big Brown lose. It could not have happened to a nicer trainer. Instead of being humble, instead being secure in just winning, Big Brown's trainer Rick Dutrow Jr. flaunted his outlaw cheating past. He talked smack and insulted his competition. And then when his horse lost, he was nowhere to be found. He let his jockey and his owners talk at the press conference. Dutrow is the worst kind of sportsman and I loved seeing him get his just desserts. History shouldn't to the villains. Horray for karma.

I am glad the horse appears to be fine and will have a lost and fruitful life.

Everybody wins.
